Liam Pfeiffer

Liam Pfeiffer is an experienced internal arts practitioner and yoga teacher who studies body alignment from world renowned yoga teacher Nevine Michaan of Katonah Yoga and Kriya Yoga with Hari Kaur. Liam’s journey to the center began with Taijiquan, where he furthered his understanding of skeletal structure to allow the muscular system to release tension and allow Chi to flow. Now, he is dedicated to applying and sharing the wisdom of compression and expansion found in the Xinyi-Dao system to create energetically efficient movement with power.

He teaches internal arts to youth in detention facilities and to young adults on Riker’s Island for the Department of Corrections. Liam provides incarcerated youth with skills and practices to improve physical and mental health, manage stress, reduce anxiety, and cultivate a relationship with their own consciousness using meditation, breath work and movement techniques from Chi Body, Kundalini & Hatha Yoga and Parkour. The fusion of disciplines that Liam draws upon makes programming dynamic and versatile.

Liam is a head basketball coach within the youth non-profit Steady Buckets, an organization with over 5,000 members of the city’s youth. He developed the yoga and QiGong program for the community and actively weaves eastern techniques of breath and body into the game of basketball to expose children to natural healing modalities and empowerment practices.

Kacper Chudzik

Kacper has been practicing yoga and qigong for ten years and teaching for over eight. His love for yoga, qigong, and internal arts has always been kindled by surrounding himself with body oriented individuals including other yoga and qigong instructors, rock climbers, martial artists and massage therapists. Since then Kacper has continued his education in anatomy and kinetics through classes, workshops, and the advanced training in the Massage Therapy program at the Swedish Institute of Health and Science. The massage program has been a huge factor benefiting both his personal practice and teachings through heavy and intensive study of anatomy and traditional Chinese medicine. His goal is to be able to approach any individual regardless of their background and find a way to improve and benefit their life and well being through yoga, qigong, and massage.

Sirin Dogan

Sirin rekindled her love for movement of body and spirit through Qigong and Yin yoga. She got her Yin teacher training in the spring of 2019 and then followed it up with the 200 hour YTT in the Fall of 2019 in Denver, Colorado. She believes the concepts of Yin and Chinese Daoist principles are essential for deepening the subtle aspects of the practice. Focusing on the fascia and meridian channels is considered minuscule in western society but personally she has found it to impact her being in life changing ways and is looking forward to sharing it with others.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css=”.vc_custom_1604605794917{padding-top: 60px !important;padding-bottom: 60px !important;}” z_index=””][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”752″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]

Colleen Martin

Colleen has been studying the mind-body connection through movement for over a decade, starting with Pilates, becoming a certified Pilates Mat Instructor in 2009 and working with numerous private clients for years.  She is currently a KRI Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga and Yoga Alliance RYT, teaching Kundalini Kriya Yoga at Hari NYC The Treehouse, focusing on the energetics of yoga, meditation, and breath work.  She also regularly leads morning sadhana, which is a spiritual practice in the early morning hours before the sun rises.  Yoga and meditation are the foundation of sadhana; structure, discipline and persistence are the keys.  Her daily practice creates the subtle mind-body awareness and confidence central to bringing vitality and joy to her life.

Colleen began to train with Dr. Mark Li in early 2019 and is a certified Chi Body instructor. She is excited to expand on her current knowledge base of cultivating energy, greater mental clarity, and strengthening the physical and mental immune systems.

Liza Leonard

Liza has been building her practice since 2014, and she would love to share it with people. In 2016, Liza completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training with Open Doors Yoga, and have been teaching more ever since. She also completed a 50 hour Acupressure Training with Science of Self and a 50 hour Yin Yoga training with Alana Kessler. Liza’s classes draw from her experience with qigong, vinyasa, hatha, yin and ashtanga traditions, and incorporate self-reflection and manifesting our intentions into reality.

Liza’s classes contain a lot of fire and strength, but they are also nourished by water, the more feminine, yin energy that we all need. She likes to make her students feel good in their bodies, by offering plenty of alignment cues and variations. Liza constantly change and explore new ideas through the practice.

Liza views qigong and yoga as practices to connect to oneself but also to the world around us, to make sense of it all. It has the power to transform our bodies, mind, and our lives and communities. Through simple, intentional movement and breathing, we can move our energy and shift our perspective.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
