What is Chi Body?
Welcome, Chi Body is a method to gain deeper mind-body awareness, cultivate internal energy or Qi, develop martial power, and improve body alignment. Using the authentic knowledge and wisdom of the Daoist energetic tradition, the Chi Body method unlocks the body’s inner power and potential for a strong, healthy, and balanced body.
Through simple step-by-step guided practice of the Chi Body method, the practitioner begins to cultivate Qi and store it in the body’s energy center or Dantian. This process allows the practitioner to gain conscious control over the body’s bio-battery, and recharges the body’s life-force to slow down or even reverse the natural process of aging.
On the mental and physical levels, the practice of the Chi Body method, through the coordination of the conscious and subconscious mind, slow relaxed movements, and the power of the breathe, brings the practitioner optimum health, strong body and immune system, mental clarity, emotional calmness, confidence, and reduced stress.
On the spiritual level, the practice of the Chi Body method strengthens the three treasures or the three fundamental building blocks of the spiritual body: Jing (essence), Qi (energy), and Shen (spirit). By using the correct method of converting the body’s essence to energy and then to the spirit, it allows the practitioner to access a higher level of consciousness, which brings vitality, happiness and wisdom in life.
Chi Body is developed based on the system of Xinyi-Dao Internal Kung Fu, founded by Grandmaster Li Tai Liang, and this system is deeply rooted in the Daoist tradition passed down over generations of internal masters. Rather than focusing on the martial component of self-defense using internal skills, Chi Body focuses more on the energetic and health aspects of internal skills. Whether you are curious about the mind-body benefits of qigong, internal martial arts, & neigong practices, or you are an experienced practitioner who is looking for original methods from the source to take your practice into a deeper level, the Chi Body method is accessible to people of all levels to explore the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit.
Qigong (Energy Cultivation)
Qi or Prana is the body’s inner life-force energy that was discovered thousands of years ago by the eastern traditions. This energy can be activated through guided Daoist Qigong practice, which involves coordinating static postures and slow-motion movements with controlled breath work. Qigong practice is aimed to activate, circulate, and cultivate Qi, which leads to a feeling of heightened sense of mind-body connection and inner awareness. Qigong practice can rejuvenate the body and organs, enhance mental capacity, improve martial power, and open the gateway to the spiritual path.
Internal Martial Arts
Internal Martial Arts such as Taijiquan (Tai Chi), Baguazhang, and Xingyiquan have their own specific methods to activate the body’s energy center (Dantian) to power martial movements and self-defense techniques. The cultivation of internal Dantian power also brings optimum health, tranquil mind, calm emotions, and confidence. The hidden potential of Dantian power is out of access by most people in the west, which can be unlocked by learning from an authentic teacher of the true Chinese tradition.
Neigong (Inner Alchemy)
Neigong or Inner alchemy is an advanced practice in the Daoist tradition, using the activation and flow of Qi as the foundation acquired through Qigong exercises. Inner alchemy works directly with the body’s Jing (essence), Qi (energy), and Shen (spirit), which are the three treasures or essential forces of the body to sustain life. By using a systematic method of converting the body’s essence to energy and then to the spirit, it allows the practitioner to access a higher level of consciousness, which brings vitality, happiness, and wisdom in life.
Body Alignment
With modern lifestyle, the body is physically out of balance and alignment, which contribute to various healthy problems. Proper body alignment improves health, increases energy, activate fascia strength, and enhances positive emotions. Maintaining a good musculoskeletal alignment means that the body moves in its most natural state. Body alignment exercises use specific postures and movements to stretch the tendons and joints to increase the circulation of Qi and blood, improve the mobility and flexibility of joints, and reduce the stiffness of muscles. Overall, proper structural alignment keeps the body functioning at its optimum capacity.
